the frosting was sort of an experiment. what I really wanted to do was make a whipped ganache frosting that would be thick and fudgy. so I made ganache, and then let it set in the fridge for a few hours, thinking I could just whip it up in my mixer once it was solid, like I’ve done so many times before-only it didn’t set. I don’t usually measure for ganache anymoreeeeee (not smart=do not copy) and it was delicious but it was soupy. soooo I basically made regular buttercream and added it in, whipped it up, and viola! delicious chocolate mousse tasting buttercream.
