L.O.V.E.

It’s the season of LOVE. Almost everywhere you look is covered in pink and red hearts with flowers, diamonds (check out Brilliant Earth for beautiful, ethically sourced diamonds), chocolates, stuffed animals, lobsters, kisses–you know what I’m talking about. I say lobsters because they’re having a sale on fresh lobsters at my local grocery store and we’re planning on cooking them on Valentine’s Day for the first time and I’m super excited! (I’ll let you know how it goes…..) Anyways… Valentine’s Day is coming up!

If you need ideas there are a TON of ideas for making some delicious baked goodies out there. You can look heeeeeerrrrreeee on MY blog, or Pinterest. I go to Pinterest for everything. Whatever you choose, show your loved ones how much you love them by baking them a sweet treat!

What does love mean to you???

“Love people. Cook them tasty food.”— Penzey’s Spices

Here’s something random but sure to stick in your head after watching: almost everytime I hear the words “love” I immediately think of Will Ferrell in Stepbrothers, singing Let’s Give Them Something To Talk About by Bonnie Raitt when he says “luuuuuuv.” Know what I’m talking about???? See a clip here.

I have put together a little compilation of some of the things I’ve made that show LOVE.

I got the idea from Pinterest, originally found here. (they also took much better pictures but I’m not stealing them so here are my amateur photos!)

I didn’t make my own caramel sauce like the original recipe calls for because, well, it’s kinda a b**** to make caramel sauce if you ask me. If you feel ambitious–do it. Totally better than the Smucker’s caramel sauce I bought– but –in a pinch, use what ya got.

If you can’t tell from the pictures–yes they’re rich. yes they’re gluttonous. yes they’re amazing and totally worth the calories.

Also I made some no bake peanut butter rice krispie balls–also yum! super fast and easy!
